The Public Works Department is committed to maintaining the streets, water and waste water infrastructure, the parks and public buildings of the community at the highest levels of quality possible.
Public Works maintains streets, sewers and water distribution lines. They also clear public right of ways of snow and keep them clean. The Department also maintains the parks, public areas and buildings of the Village of Wellington.
Recent accomplishments of the Department include the construction of a large parking lot, site preparation for two new water tanks, rehabilitation and enhancements in the Village green and curb construction along state routes.
The Public Works is responsible for the Public Works Committee. They meet the first Monday of each month before the Council meetings. Board members include Helen Dronsfield, Hans Schneider, and Guy Wells.
