Let's Play Pickleball!

The Village is pleased to announce the opening of three new pickleball courts at the Recreation Park.  Pickleball is a paddleball sport invented in the mid-1960's as a children's backyard game combining elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis.  The game is played by singles or pairs who use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net.  The sport is very popular amongst seniors but is enjoyed by all ages.  With the financial support of a non-profit, healthy living organization, THRIVE, the Village is excited to bring this sport activity to residents and visitors.

Wellington has been a Tree City for over 20 years and it shows at the Wellington Community Park. There are a number of tree-shaded grass areas and a memorial tree area where you can find a wide variety of species.
