Living In
The citizens of Wellington are very proud of their rich heritage and are enthusiastically dedicated to maintain and improve a high quality of life. We hope you will share in our excitement about the special ‘SPIRIT’ that abounds in Wellington.
Wellington Village with its grand homes and buildings from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, so painstakingly preserved by their owners, has more than 200 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. One such building is the Town Hall, which was built in 1885, and in the first half of the century was renown for its Opera House which can now be rented for private functions.
Although the Village is rich in history, a trip around town will reveal several new residential developments tastefully nestled into the background. These quaint developments are always planned to maintain an ever-prevalent small town atmosphere.
Living in Wellington offers the quality of life of a rural area while offering convenient access to a large metropolitan region. Wellington has a range of housing options, quality schools and is a safe community. Recreation opportunities are excellent for young and old. Outdoors oriented people will especially enjoy the community.
