The Village is pleased to announce the opening of three new pickleball courts at the Recreation Park. Pickle ball is a paddleball sport invented in the mid-1960’s as a children’s backyard game combining elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The game is played by singles or pairs who use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net. The sport is very popular amongst seniors but is enjoyed by all ages. With the financial support of the non-profit, healthy living organization, THRIVE, the Village is excited to bring this sport activity to residents and visitors!
