With the Spring season upon us, the Village would like to remind residents of yard maintenance services and codes.

Special Leaf Pick-up:  The Village has scheduled a one-time special leaf pick-up for the week of April 15th.  Public Works Crews will start at one end of the Village and make one pass through each street.  Residents are asked to rake leaves into the curb lawn prior to April 15th.   This will be the final pick-up until the Fall of 2019.

Yard Brush Pick-up:  Yard brush is collected by the Public Works Department on beginning on first and third Monday of the month. Brush must be stacked at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on the first and third Monday.  Public Works crews commence work at one end of the Village and make one pass through each street until all brush is collected.  

Grass Mowing:  The Village reminds residents to not mow grass or deposit any other material such as leaves, branches, or twigs into streets, alleys or other public right-of-ways.  This activity is prohibited by Village code. 

In addition, all property owners are required to keep their properties mowed and free of poisonous or noxious weeds exceeding a height of 8".  Property owners whose grass/weeds exceeds 8" will be notified of in writing that mowing shall be completed within 5 days.  If grass/weeds are not mowed, the Village shall perform the work and bill the property owner for the associated expense per Village code.
