Sign Permit
The purpose of a sign permit is to ensure that the placement, display and use of signs adhere to standards set by the Village to enhance the aesthetic environment of the municipality, improve pedestrian and traffic safety, and to minimize possible adverse effects of signs on nearby public and private property.
For anyone requiring a sign permit, here’s how the process works:
• Applicant completes a sign permit application and submits it along with required drawings to the Zoning Administrator’s office.
• Zoning Administrator will review application and contact applicant with any questions, clarifications or requests for additional information.
• Once all pertinent information is received, Zoning Administrator will perform final review of application and render decision on permit approval (typically 2 to 7 working days). Permit may be picked up at Zoning Administrator’s office.
