Mobile Food Vendor Permit

The purpose of Mobile Food Vendor Permit is to ensure that mobile food vendors operate their mobile food establishments in a safe and sanitary manner and do not create obstruction of pedestrian, bicycle and motor vehicle traffic either on privately-owned, non-residential property or in the public right-of-way. No person, organization or business shall operate within the Village as a mobile food vendor without a permit. Two types of permits are available including a single event permit valid for a three-day period and/or an annual permit valid from the approval date up to December 31st of the permit issuance year. Mobile Food Vendor permits are not applicable to Meals on Wheels, ice cream trucks or the home delivery of food.

For anyone requiring a mobile food vendor permit, here’s how the process works:

• Applicant completes a mobile food vendor permit application and required supplemental information and submits to the Office of the Village Manager.

• The Village Manager shall review application and contact applicant with any questions, clarifications or requests for additional information.

• Once all pertinent information is received, the Village Manager will render decision on permit approval (typically within 5 to 7 working days). Permit may be picked up at Zoning Administrator’s Office.
